J. S. Hillhouse Pastor Presbyterian Church Vicksburg, Miss., January 18, 1905
Dear Bro. Melvin:
A few years ago we received Miss Jennie and Ada Sevier from Port Gibson, but I know nothing of a Miss Annie (Jennie was known as Rosebud and is now Mrs. Young). Miss Mary Kate Sevier was here awhile but was never a member of our church. About four years ago she married Mr. W. J. Ward of Tallulah, La. and is living there.
Mrs. Jeffries is here and comes to church when she can. I never see her son but think he is still here. I asked her some time ago to ask for her letter, but she did not want to sever her connection with the old church.
Sincerely yours,
J. S. H. |
